League of Queens Empowerment International with support from Urgent Action Fund, held a radio discussion on the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act (VAPP ACT) on the 25th of November, 2020. November 25th is the International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women, marking the beginning of the 16 days activism which ends on December 10th.
The VAPP ACT which was signed into law in 2015 addresses gender-based violence against persons both male and female, female genital mutilation, and all other outdated cultural practices suffered by young women especially. This discussion is done to create awareness on this issue and show our continuous support for women and survivors of violence. You are not alone.
